Last night I stayed up untill about 6am this morning. I was busy writing a paper until 2am anyway and Vennasa was trying to do the same in the lobby, so I thought I would at least keep her company. We watched cartoons in the Red Room and then I went to the couch to fall sleep. Some where around 8 Vennesa woke me up to say bye because she is leaving for home. I finaly went to my room after that and slept through English class and was late to Phyc 1000. I suppose that will get me in the end, but oh well, nothing I can do about that now.
I nailed my snare lesson today again. Michael (my teacher) was like, "wow way to go on the solo man. You really improved alot this week." I felt good :) Now I am free for the rest of the day to do whatever. I suppose I will go practice my mallets for my lesson tomorrow and practice my minor melodies for my singing quiz tomorrow too.
I found out the next play off game for Turner is friday at 2:30pm!! I wonder why it's so early. I guess it doesn't really matter though. I'm still going to see it either way with my dad. It will be good to see everyone again even though I just saw them last friday lol. Anywayz, the day is young and I must go make the most of it. TTYL

Stay The Course
I decided since I'm always at the computer everyday that I would start to keep this journal as a way to remember college a little better. Things are going good so far except for my lessons. I just dont seem to have the motivation to do it anymore. We have this thing called Barrier tests were over the semester we work on 3 books and at the end of the semester they call out any exercize, one in each book, and we have to be able to play them perfectly. Its really tuff up here but I know I can make it if I just try harder.
The people up here are great though. Sarah is sweet and cute, a typical Lake Highlands chick. Fran is extreamly talented in art and fun to hang with. Next is Karina, Fran's roommate, who was a drill team member back in highschool. She is probably the most fun to talk to because we connect really well. Marcy is the crazy Houston (Uston) girl who is always singing some song or another. Travis is cool. We hang out sometimes and just chill. We have music fundementals together at 8am MWF so we studied a little for it then just played computer games till 11pm. Landen is the crazy clown, Andrew is the bass player, Brenna is my band banquet date who smokes way to much, Vennesa is the theater singer who is moving to Michagain next year. Sometimes we will sit and sing songs that we know together. I'll never forget the time we went outside at 1am and danced in the water singing old musical songs.
But I still miss my friends from home. I miss Morgan's smile to great me in band each day, Vickie's complaining about being a Jew, Raul's coolness, Evan's stuborness, Ethan's hint of bad ass, Stephen's "im a pimp" vibe, Dustie's crazyness, Casey's sweetness, and just alot of other little things.
I know I can't go back now, but even if I could I probably wouldn't. I know this is were I belong now and no matter how bad I think it gets I know I have to stick with it till the end. The bible says "Stay the course" and I suppose that's my motto for this year. Well, I have to go eat lunch and then practice some more. I'll start to wrtie everyday from now on so I'll write again soon.

Winter Guard is cool!
I worked Saturday at my schools winter guard competition. You know the girls that twirl the flags in a marching band, well, they have their own competitions and they are called winter guards. I was a guide this year, which means I showed around the visiting team and guided them to their rooms, the warm up area, and the competition area. Luckily, I got assigned to Lewisville High School. I stayed with them for 5 hours and they won first place!!
They were so nice to me too!! They gave me some cookies that they had brought along and they talked to me and were really realy nice!! Not to mention they were 30 girls all in tights, jumping up and down right in front of me!! YEAH!!! I bought them 2 flowers to show them how much fun I had with them that day and to thank them for coming. All the girls gave me hugs and they let me sit with them when they called out the awards!! We were all so happy when they won 1st place. It was realy really fun and I might actually come back next year just to take Lewisville again lol. I'll never forget them.
