Friends

I heard this song on the radio and it made me think of all my friends back home. I thought I'd put it up and let you guys read them. Its a song called Friends by Micheal W. Smith. Enjoy.

Packing up the dreams God planted
In the fertile soil of you
Can't believe the hopes He's granted
Means a chapter in your life is through
But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

Chorus:
And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say "never"
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long to live as friends.

With the faith and love God's given
Springing from the hope we know
We will pray the joy you'll live in
Is the strength that now you show

But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

Yea Scotland

Today was another good day off from school. I sat around all day and wrote some more on the drum cadence I'm writing. I finaly titled it, Tearin' It Up. I dont know how good it will go over with my highschool though. As I keep writing more and more, it seems to get harder and harder. Each section has its own solo and I think the tenor solo is gonna be the hardest. But I think that with enough real practice, the line could get it.

I also watched Braveheart today. God I love that movie! My direct ancestors were scotish so I take great pride in my scotish hearitige. I remember on my senior band trip me, morgan, tamara, and ethan all went walking around this little amusment park and when we went into a flag shop I bought a 4X3 foot Scotish flag. Its so awesome! I have it hanging up in my room at school.

I love being home. No pressure of school or friends and I know that people actualy want me here. Unlike up there where you are just a number, not a person. I was thinking about my part time job next semester to teach the symphonic band at my highschool. Sullivan, the band teacher, said that Mr. Moen probably wouldn't mind if I helped out the Honor band too!! I was like, WOOO HOOO!!! Man that would be amazing, I could actualy have something to help them on and it would be all my friends anyway. This cant get any better. If I were to die right now, I would be a really happy man :) Well, I'm off to go watch SNL and write some more.

Oh yea, Morgan, if you read this, you are a pimp with you know who.

Play Off game

We got murderd. Me, my brother, his gf, and my dad went to see my old highschool play in a second round play off game, their first one since '68. The final score ended up at 33-7. On the first drive of the game we drove down the feild and stalled on the 1 yard line. That took away most of our momentum so after that it was all down hill for the other team.

The day wasn't a complete loss because I did get to see Morgan and my other friends. Morgan is doing fine of course, Vickie was mad again, Heidi had a hurt ankle from a soccer game she had this morning, and everyone else was pretty good. The good bye hug was kinda weird with morgan. It felt like everyone was watching, kinda...un-easy, but who the hell cares. I miss her and care for her and I know she does me, so they can think what they want. Well, I gtg watch a movie.

24+ hours

Oh boy where to begin. On tuesday night I had intended to talk on the computer for about 2 hours, practice for my piano quiz, then go to bed. Well instead, i was on the computer for 5 hours, then practiced till 4 and decided to stay up all night because I had a quiz at about 7:45am. So, with two cups of coffee and CNN to keep me company my long night began.

I was talking online with Heidi and Hannah for what turned out to be a long long time. I was going to leave, but I hadn't talked to either of them in a long time, so I figured I'd just stay on. I was in the 24 hour computer lab, so it's not like I was gonna get kicked out or anything. After I finaly left that, I had to go practice for my singing quiz. I checked out a piano key and headed down stairs.

After singing 9 minor melodies for an hour, I just jammed for the next 20min. Once I returned the key it was somewhere around 4am. Seeing this, I decided that if I were to go to sleep, I would be more tired than I would be if I had stayed awake. Not to mention I would of forgotten all of my practicing. So I grabbed more coffee, sat in front of the TV, and watched CNN untill 7am. Nothing really important happend on CNN at that time except for some Talaban guy made a public speach.

I ended up making a 100 on my quiz so it did pay off to stay up eventualy. My private lesson didn't go so well though. I practed for 3 hours strait and he didn't even go over what I practied!!! I hate that man. Then my brother came to get me at 1:30pm. Of course I couldn't find him till 2 then he wanted to go eat. So I got home around 3:30, watched TV all day, and fell sleep at 8. By the time I fell asleep I had been awake for 31 hours. Needless to say, I was pooped.

The next morning, Thanksgiving, started to early for me. At 7:30am I was woken up by my brother screaming out of his room, "would somebody let that dog in!!!!" So of course I did it. So then I fell back asleep for about 2 hours untill the Macy Parade came on. So we watched that, then the Cowboy game. Its a family tradition that we sit and watched the Cowboy game every year, so I did. I am a huge Dallas Cowboy fan anywayz, so it was all good. We lost 26-24. Oh well. Then we watched Smallville, then my mom had bought The Grinch with Jim Carrey on DVD, so we watched that too. Afterward, me, Vickie, Destiny, and the other guy (Paul I think), went out to IHOP. I was the only one who actualy ate a real meal so I felt kinda weird, but I was hungry.

So, there are my last two days. I hope you injoyed reading all that, I know I injoyed typing it.
