No chords, alot of work, and a phone call

I got back to my room at about 9:30 last night and to my surprise my room had a peice of paper taped to my door. This paper said that a saftey check had been done and they found 2 etention chords in my room which are illegal so they were confistaited. Now, I had to plug in my clock, stereo, answering machine, and lamp into the surge protector which is now across from my desk. So I have a long line of black cords strung along my floor which is even more un safe than it was before. Good job staff.

I practiced most of this afternoon for my jury and barreirs that are next week. My marimba is on wensday, my snare is on friday and my school of music audition is also on friday. I have to get 3 letters of recamendation before wensday which shouldn't be to hard. I'll get two teachers here and get Mr. Moen to fill one out too.

I tried to call Morgan to see how auditions for Honor Band went, but to my surprise they aren't untill friday. Her email said monday, but it turns out percussion is going last again so it wont be till friday. Eitherway, I call back then and see how things went.

Im gonna go practice some more later on and write up a paper for english. Yeppie. Wish me luck.

Pimpin'

I went and bought a new suit today for the band banquet on saturday. Its dark blue jacket and pants with a light blue shit and matching tie. I also bought a red tie to go with a white shirt which I also bought. I would have to say that when I tried it on I was very pimp :)

I suppose I should go back to school sometime soon, but I think I'll wait untill after dinner becase the cafetirea wont open up till 7am tomorrow. I wrote a little more on my cadence today. I finaly finished the tenor solo. I think I made it really hard, oops, oh well, It will sound cool if I could ever get anyone to play it. Maybe if I work really hard at turner next semester they will let me come back and work with the Pit during the summer. I would kill to do that. I dont care what people say, I love that school and I'll do anything to work there.

Friends

I heard this song on the radio and it made me think of all my friends back home. I thought I'd put it up and let you guys read them. Its a song called Friends by Micheal W. Smith. Enjoy.

Packing up the dreams God planted
In the fertile soil of you
Can't believe the hopes He's granted
Means a chapter in your life is through
But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

Chorus:
And friends are friends forever
If the Lord's the Lord of them
And a friend will not say "never"
'Cause the welcome will not end
Though it's hard to let you go
In the Father's hands we know
That a lifetime's not too long to live as friends.

With the faith and love God's given
Springing from the hope we know
We will pray the joy you'll live in
Is the strength that now you show

But we'll keep you close as always
It won't even seem you've gone
'Cause our hearts in big and small ways
Will keep the love that keeps us strong

Yea Scotland

Today was another good day off from school. I sat around all day and wrote some more on the drum cadence I'm writing. I finaly titled it, Tearin' It Up. I dont know how good it will go over with my highschool though. As I keep writing more and more, it seems to get harder and harder. Each section has its own solo and I think the tenor solo is gonna be the hardest. But I think that with enough real practice, the line could get it.

I also watched Braveheart today. God I love that movie! My direct ancestors were scotish so I take great pride in my scotish hearitige. I remember on my senior band trip me, morgan, tamara, and ethan all went walking around this little amusment park and when we went into a flag shop I bought a 4X3 foot Scotish flag. Its so awesome! I have it hanging up in my room at school.

I love being home. No pressure of school or friends and I know that people actualy want me here. Unlike up there where you are just a number, not a person. I was thinking about my part time job next semester to teach the symphonic band at my highschool. Sullivan, the band teacher, said that Mr. Moen probably wouldn't mind if I helped out the Honor band too!! I was like, WOOO HOOO!!! Man that would be amazing, I could actualy have something to help them on and it would be all my friends anyway. This cant get any better. If I were to die right now, I would be a really happy man :) Well, I'm off to go watch SNL and write some more.

Oh yea, Morgan, if you read this, you are a pimp with you know who.
