Hear Me Dream

I'm in Kharma for the first time in a long while. I think the reason I stopped coming was not because I had a problem with the smell or the smoke but the fact that I knew others had a problem with how I smelled afterwards. I do kinda feel like I've been neglecting my friends here though. This place has been a lot of things to me and I'm finding it hard to let it go completely. I still feel like its MY coffee shop ya know? I stand up for it and still try to get people to come here instead of other places. I should have brought more quarters with me tonight...oh well.

I was getting music off of...well a certain file sharing program...and saw a song called Hear Me Cry and for some reason the phrase "hear me dream" came into my head. I thought, wow that would be a sweet song title. Now all I need is the music to go along with it. But still, I think that would be a cool song title. Maybe if I ever sit down at a piano and lay down a final version of my piano song I've been working on for like 8 years, thats what I'll call it, Hear Me Dream. Wow now I really want to go play but I dont have my mic with me and I dont think my scooter will make it home, to the practice mods, then back home. Damn.

One Year Older

I figure that I should write this entry at the beginning of this day instead of at the end because...well...I wont be coherent enough to write this in by the end of this day.

Today is my 24th birthday. When people hear how old I am turning they always tell me, "well thats not that old." Here's a hint guys...that doesn't help me feel any younger! I know I still have many many years left to go (I pray I do anyway), but it does mean that another year has gone by and I'm still NOT OUT OF DENTON!! Man someone get me outta here! Joseph is going to by me a comic book I want later on today and I asked a few of my friends to meet up with me at Lucky Lou's at about 11pm. It's always interesting when my two groups of friends meet up. I have the "bruce kids" and then I have the "kharma kids." I guess we'll see how that goes. I still need to ask Travis to come out with us.

To celebrate my own birthday I have bought my self two video games that I have been looking forward to for years actually. Justice League: Heroes, which kinda sucks, and Kingdom Hearts II which I have been waiting for since 2003. Kingdom Hearts was the first game I ever bought for my PS2 and I have been waiting for this sequel ever since! I've only had it for about a day and have put in nearly ten hours so far. If you don't know what game I'm talking about you really need to go read up about it on wikipedia. It's so very awesome.

Well I thought this was going to get deep but turns out it didn't. I could talk about how I still don't have a girlfriend for my birthday and how I wish I could see my family today but I guess all that goes with out saying so, I wont say it.

Heres hoping that the next year of my life is better than this last one and that it brings many new friends, places, and experiences.

I Lost It, So Here's Some Filler

Damn it, I had a good idea for a blog entry and now I have totally forgot what I was going to say, so here is a bunch of random filler.

I register for classes tomorrow at 12am so horray for finally getting to my sr classes!
I think I might be getting sick and theres only 3 days left until my birthday on friday :(
I found a girl to replace Travis when he moves out in December so HORRAY for not having to worry about living conditions anymore!
I had this weird dream that me and Jeremy gave Angelica a ride home and all we did was poke fun at her the whole time...ya i know, weird and totally not like me or my brother.
Firefox 2 was released today so thats really cool. Firefox has recently replaced Safari as my default web browser and I'm using Google Reader to keep up with my RSS feeds.
The elections are coming up in exactly two weeks and I cant wait because the Dems are going to retake the House and with any luck retake the senate too. YAY!!!
MacBook Pros got upgraded to Dual 2 Core Duo's today. So now Apple pro end laptops are on top of the game again.

Boring

So lets see where I am at today.

I've got one french assignment to do, I'm listening to Jimmy Eat World, I have a test on thursday in Sociology and one on friday in Logic which class was canceled due to a gas leak yesterday. My birthday is in 10 days and counting and I'm pretty sure it will go by with out any large celebration. The last time I tried to do something big for my bday was my 15th and it was LAME. Ask my brother, he can tell you.

Its weird how about 6 months ago everyone seemed to be single and now everyone seems to be dating or very close to dating someone. I'm not really sure how that happened but I guess I didn't get the memo that said, "hey go hook up with someone." Oh well, I think Joseph missed it too. Well how about this, maybe the girl who I was suppose to hook up with missed the memo. That sounds better. So here I sit in my room with my cowboy hat on typing away and really not doing anything. I'm pretty sure I wont be doing anything tonight so maybe I'll take a nap...again...not like there is anything else to do.

A Real Post Finally

My birthday is in 11 days and I'm not quite sure how to take it. I'll be 24 and I'm pretty sure that by almost everyone standards that really makes me an adult. Although, I really dont feel like one yet. Maybe its because I've spent most of my life not being an adult that it will just take time to get use to. My mom said that it took her a while to think of her self as one. It's hard to believe that I have really been in this town for 6 years now. It really does seem like yesterday I was just showing up with all my stuff. I try not to think about people or places or things because it just makes me sad. I just keep reminding my self that one day I'll be the one to go too.

In two days I have helped celebrate two birthdays, Liesl's and Ted's. Liesl's was the most fun because I actually got to go to a real party with people my age and hang out. Ted's was at the Olive Garden and was pretty much full of loud kids who cant really control them selves in public yet. I'm not saying I didn't have a good time, there were just times that I had to get up from the table I was so embarrassed by their actions. Thats what I get for going to dinner with about 14 kids.

If there is one thing this blog does, it makes me feel a little better. I'm not sure why but I guess it just gets me to ramble on enough that I forget what was really bothering me before hand.

I got my credit card payed off last week. YAYAYAYAYAY!!!! So nice to be debt free.

Well we are almost to November and if my college streak is to stay intact, I should be meeting a girl any day now that will become my next girlfriend. For those of you who dont know, my only two girlfriends EVER became official on the day before Thanksgiving break of even number years, 2 years apart. Desiree was Nov 23rd 2002 and Angelica was Nov 24th 2004. So watch out ladies, my eyes are open and I'm very much paying attention.

A Glorious Day

Today marks the first day of Travis' life as a Mac user. So for me, this is one convert down in just over one year. Up next...my mom. :)
